Teaching Class with a Remote Student(s)
The instructor may want to consider:
Using Teams “Share Screen” in order for the remote students to see what is projected on the drop-down screen in the classroom;
If the content being shared has audio, turn on the "Include sound" toggle.
Using descriptive language when pointing at the drop-down screen, letting the remote students know what is being pointed at;
On the touch panel or the handheld remote, presetting camera positions to easily move the camera to a desired position, such as the whiteboard.
For in-class group discussion, having the group which the remote student is a member of meet on Teams (breakout rooms) outside the classroom. Their meeting outside the range of the classroom microphone helps avoid audio feedback.
